Blub:
“The blood of the sphinx runs through my veins,” Sasha said as he inspected the warrior standing at attention before him. “It’s what makes my family line so potent—what gives us the power to make or break a man.”

Son of Cleopatra and Julius Caesar, Sasha is the king of kings. He’s the pharaoh, and he’s supposed to be the most powerful man in Egypt, but he’s convinced there’s something wrong with him. Maybe he’s in heat or maybe he’s just cursed, but no pharaoh should have such an insatiable need to be mated by another man. Even worse, the man he desires has never shown an inkling of interest in him.

When the young pharaoh finds himself the sole ruler of Egypt and under siege by the Romans, he has to find a way to deal with the desires consuming him or all will be lost.

*Historically inspired dark erotica. Contains graphic violence and non-con.

Editor: Jason Bradley
Cover: Indigo Forest Designs

Musings:

J. Johanis delivers again with the darker paranormal MM. If this is not your kink, you might want to leave now.

I thoroughly enjoyed my journey with Sasha, son of Cleopatra and Julius Caesar. More importantly, he’s a pharaoh with a need to be mated by another man. But who’d be willing to top the pharaoh, the person who stands as a god in man’s eyes. Sasha not only has to deal with his desires, but also with impending doom from the Roman empire.

I love that this was an erotic novella, yet a full story at the same time. Well done with no cliffhangers and the sex was hot! The royal twist was something else. 🙂 The interactions between Sasha and his personal guard, Adrian had me hoping for an easy journey but at the same time, I wanted to see them work to overcome the hardships thrown at them.

If you want something off the beaten track, especially if you like mythology, this is it. I’m eager to see what’s in store next!
